Net Neutrality
Net neutrality is the principle that internet service providers and governments regulating the internet should treat all data on the internet the same, discriminating or charging differentially by user. In other words net neutrality is that a public information network will end up being most useful if all content, websites, and platforms are treated equally. Operate on it should be easily accessible to all individuals, companies and organizations. Communications protocol that the computer are using to communicate. A open IP address and any user can use, it's just like freedom of speech. Allow those using the internet to easily communicate and conduct business and activities without interference from a third party.
You should be free, your shouldn't be concerned with the content you view or post online. Appropriations committees is attacking them to because it's affecting them. The government are trying to take this out. They don't like the idea of a open internet, they like the idea of a internet that they have control over and they can open what they want and close what they want. This can be a problem, because a open internet can cause problems, people can take advantage and put things on it and it can affect other people and it has being a problem for the government too because it's given people too much freedom . Companies like Verizon and others companies would not benefit on this. Just like a example i heard” The phone company can't make the connection worse if they don't approve of the person you calling.” So without net neutrality, Comcast could give priority to video from TV networks it owns-such as nbc and slow down signals from its rivals. It's good and bad it can benefit people and it can hurt people so for me i will just like the network to stay the same that’s my opinion if you have a opinion that you will like to share drop it down in the comment. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_neutralityhttp://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2015/02/24/net-neutrality-what-is-it-guide/23237737/

I got like 130 seconds on it so it was good and i kind of like this idea of net neutrality.
ReplyDeleteNet neutrality is certainly a big issue and I am glad that you think you learned about the issue through this project. The length of your talk is pretty good and you clearly stuck to the generally accepted length of presentation based on the number of words you used.
ReplyDeleteYour opening statement should be in quotes as it is directly from wikipedia. In addition, you shortened the definition in a way that creates a bit of confusion with the meaning of net neutrality. You claim that you have a clear focus on a specific aspect of net neutrality, but I am unsure if your area of focus is on governmental or corporate regulation.
You do clearly state your position that you believe the internet is functioning well as is and that additional regulations are unnecessary.
